About Dr. Jin-Hyeok Hwang Dr. Jin-Hyeok Hwang is a well-known Medical Gastroenterologist in Seongnam, South Korea with 25+ years in the field. He has participated in several global research programs such as the GWAS study of pancreatic cancer sponsored by NCI, Bethesda, USA as one of the core members. Furthermore, he has actively conducted an analysis for the development of liquid-biopsy-driven biomarkers for diagnosis and monitoring of pancreatic cancer or cholangiocarcinoma. Dr. Hwang has expertise in pancreatic cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, liver cancer, Benign liver tumor, Chronic hepatitis, Hepatocellular carcinoma, Liver fibrosis, Liver transplantation, etc. Along with his practice, he has successfully finished the phase I clinical trial of adenovirus-medicated double suicide gene therapy in locally advanced pancreatic cancer and plans to conduct a phase II clinical trial using the gene therapy. He has authored more than 100 publications in national journals and more than 50 chapters in books.
