John D. Hubbell, M.D., is a fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist who has a particular interest in arthroscopic procedures. He treats athletes ranging from professional and college to high school. He currently provides care to athletes at Southampton, East Hampton, Hampton Bays and Westhampton high schools and previously served as a physician for the Men’s US Open at Shinnecock Hills and the Women’s US Open at Sebonack.

Work Experience
A Level 3 Adult Trauma Center, Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, with 95 staffed beds, is the sole provider of emergency care on the South Fork of Long Island. Designated a primary stroke center, the hospital has a cardiac catheterization laboratory with interventional services and is certified in cardiac rehabilitation. SBSH has specialty centers dedicated to comprehensive cancer care, breast health, endovascular surgery, LGBTQ+ healthcare, HIV services, Parkinson’s disease, musculoskeletal health, wound care, renal dialysis, wellness programs, tick-borne disease resources and the Shinnecock Indian Nation satellite health clinic.
