About Dr. Joon-Yeol Han Dr. Joon-Yeol Han is an eminent Seoul-based Medical Gastroenterologist with 38+ years in the field. He graduated from the College of Medicine, The Catholic University of Korea in 1982 and received a residency internship at the same institution. He also pursued his M.S and Ph.D. courses at The Catholic University of Korea in 1992 and 1996 respectively for specialization in Gastroenterology. Dr. Han holds expertise in liver cancer, end-stage liver disease, hepatocirrhosis, hepatitis, and biliary tract disorders, viral hepatitis and fatty liver disease, Acute liver failure, Ascites, Benign liver tumor, Liver transplantation, Viral hepatitis, etc. He takes interest in research and has several publications to his credit in noted national and international journals. His research focuses on the Long-Term Outcome of High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound in Advanced Pancreatic Cancer and Adult Living Donor Liver Transplantation Using Hepatitis B Core Antibody-Positive Grafts in Korea, a Hepatitis B-endemic Region.
