About Dr. Kishore Phadke Dr. Kishore Digambar Phadke, a paediatric nephrologist, and has pioneered various international paediatric nephrology collaborations.  The doctor specialises in teaching methodologies and the development of paediatric nephrology training programmes (has run a one-year fellowship programme in paediatric nephrology for paediatricians for the past fifteen years – recognised by Rajeev Gandhi University of Health Sciences, State of Karnataka, and the International Pediatric Nephrology Association; trainees have established paediatric nephrology centres in a number of countries).  He earned his MBBS from the University of Bombay in 1977 and his MD from the University of Bombay in 1979. In 2013, he enrolled in the country’s first MCI-approved DM (Pediatric Nephrology) course. He is also a member of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics and the Indian Society of Nephrology as an Honorary Fellow.  IPNA’s strategic planning committee includes Dr. Kishore. In the state of Karnataka, Dr. Phadke is actively involved in supporting the Deceased Donor Transplant Program, a social cause aimed at preserving the lives of people with kidney failure.  He founded and served as the chairman of the non-profit organisation Foundation for Organ Retrieval and Transplant Education (FORTE).  He was also the secretary and vice-chairman of Zonal, a coordinating group for the Karnataka government’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Dr. Kishore Digambar Phadke is fluent in English, and Hindi.
