About Dr. Lalit Verma Dr. Lalit Verma is a senior and a leading Ophthalmologist with +35 years of experience in the field. He is presently serving as the Vice President of the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS). Dr. Verma did his MBBS and MD from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in 1982 and 1985 respectively. In 1993, he was awarded the WHO fellowship in USA for  vitreo retina. Dr. Verma is a renowned retina surgeon who has made contributions to the development of the treatment for retinal conditions including laser treatment for diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration (ARMD), vitreo-retinal surgery and intravitreal injections. He is especially known for his contributions towards prevention of blindness due to Endophthalmitis. He has delivered +700 lectures key note addresses and orations in national and international forums. He has also organised annual AIOS conferences.  He has also received 46 awards. Dr. Verma also offers community services by offering camps in rural parts of India.    He has published 172 papers in national and international journals, authored 45 textbook chapters and published books on fluorescein angiography and intravitreal injections.
