About Dr. Laura Galian Gay Dr. Laura Galian Gay is a cardiologist with more than 10 years of expertise in this field. Services provided by her includes activity in Cardiac Imaging unit, where she performs transthoracic, transesophageal echocardiography, three-dimensional echocardiography and monitoring of interventional procedures, and many more. She is in charge of an external cardiology consultation in Sant Andreu as well as a monographic consultation on pregnancy and heart disease from a clinical standpoint. She graduated from the Autonomous University of Barcelona with a degree in medicine. Between 2008 and 2013, she worked as a cardiologist at the Vall d’Hebron hospital. She later joined the cardiac imaging team, where she received advanced training in this field. The European Society of Cardiology awarded her the Transthoracic Echocardiography Certification in 2015. Aortic valvulopathy (aortic stenosis and bicuspid aortic valve) and three-dimensional echocardiography are her areas of interest and where she does clinical and imaging studies. She has collaborated on three FIS projects and a multicenter clinical study involving the bicuspid aortic valve.
