Dr. Paraskevas founded Rose Dermatology with a mission to provide exceptional patient care and service in New York City. Having been born, raised, and trained in New York City, and as a former stage performer she has a unique understanding of the community’s needs and is committed to giving back to the community she now serves.
Dr. Paraskevas is a native New Yorker who began as a professional dancer and fine artist, training at the School of American Ballet and attending LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. She started her academic career at Hunter College, where she researched the molecular biology of cancer and conducted studies in theoretical chemistry. She graduated at the top of her class and was the recipient of the Salk Award, the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a CUNY graduate.
She earned her medical degree at Cornell University Medical College, graduating with Honors. She was trained in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and in Dermatology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she conducted studies in acne treatment. She was the Director of Dermatology at New York Hospital of Queens from 2009 until 2012 where she ran the inpatient dermatology service as well as the outpatient clinic. Dr. Paraskevas is currently affiliated with several hospitals in the New York area where she instructs doctors in training in the field of dermatology.
Dr. Paraskevas speaks English, Greek and Spanish.

Work Experience
NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, located in Flushing, New York, is a community teaching hospital affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine, serving Queens and metro New York residents. The 535-bed tertiary care facility provides services in 14 clinical departments and numerous subspecialties. Annually, 15,000 surgeries and 4,000 infant deliveries are performed at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.
With its network of affiliated primary and multispecialty care physician practices and community-based health centers, the hospital provides approximately 162,000 ambulatory care visits and 124,000 emergency service visits annually.
