He completed his MBBS from Karnataka Medical College, Hubli, and later did his MD in Anaesthesiology at Devraj Urs Medical College, Kolar. Further, he went to the UK to pursue his advanced training in various subspecialties of Critical care medicine such as Medical, Surgical, Transplant, Cardiac, Neuro, Obstetrics, Burns & plastics ICU in the UK.
