About Dr. Mahesh Uparkar Dr. Mahesh Uparkar is an Ophthalmologist with 15+ years of experience in the field. He is a Life Member of the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS), an International Member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), and also Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC). He has been a brilliant student all along and won several allocates such as MBBS – Gold Medal in Eye and ENT – LH Hiranandani Prize, MS – Gold Medal – GT Mazumdar Prize, and FMRF – Best Research Fellow Prize – Swarnalatha Punshi Prize. He completed his MS – Basic training in Ophthalmology from K.E.M College, the University of Mumbai in 2001, MRCOphth - Advanced training and expertise from Royal College London in Cataract and Retinal diseases in 2004, and also Fellowship in Vitreo-Retina  – Well rounded training from the Premier Eye Institute of India in 2008. Dr. Uparkar has written for a number of publications in national and international journals and books.
