Dr Mary Crofton is a highly-experienced consultant radiologist practising in London at private clinic Ultrasound Diagnostic Services. Her specialisations include gynaecological procedures such as imaging, ulstrasound, and cancer imaging, as well as infertility, oncology, and interventional procedures. Other procedures Dr Crofton specialises in are US guided FNA and biopsy, and head and neck ultrasound.
Dr Crofton received her primary medical qualification in 1973 and continued her medical training mostly at St Mary’s Hospital. Later in 1978, she changed to training in radiology, where she undertook radiology training at Hammersmith Hospital. Dr Crofton received her fellowship with The Royal College of Radiologists in 1981.
Starting in 1983, Dr Crofton was appointed as a consultant radiologist with St Mary’s Hospital. Her interest at the time was with interventional radiology, gastrointestinal and gynaecological imaging, and working with the Samaritan Hospital for Women. Over the years, her interests have evolved and are now in particular gynaecological imaging such as ulstrasound, hysterosalpingography, and fallopian tube cathertisation.
Dr Crofton continues to carryout research in gynaecological imaging. She has had multiple papers published in peer-reviewed journals.
