About Dr. Mathew Jacob Dr. Mathew Jacob is a highly trained Liver/Kidney/Pancreas Transplant Surgeon with +11 years of experience in performing complex surgeries for cancer removal in the gall bladder, liver, bile duct and pancreas. He holds professional memberships of British Transplant Society, the International Liver Transplant Society, European Society for Organ Transplantation and the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland.  Dr. Jacob has done his graduation from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, following which he spent several years in Europe for advanced qualification and training. He has a Certificate of Completion of Training from the General Medical Council, U.K. He is also a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS), a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) and HESPERIS Fellowship by the European Society for Organ Transplantation. He is an expert in liver transplantation and has experience in both cadaveric and living donor liver transplantation. He also performs, advanced HPB surgeries, besides surgically treating cancers of the liver, gall bladder, liver, bile duct and pancreas.  Dr. Jacob is also a laparoscopic surgeon.   His clinical interests include, transplant epidemiology and prognostic modelling in liver transplantation. Dr. Jacob has co-authored several research papers on complex HPB and liver transplantation surgeries. He has been a medical advisor to the Zonal Coordination Committee of Karnataka (ZCCK-The Organization empowered to coordinate the cadaveric transplantation activities and also educate the public on organ donation).
