About Dr. Matthew Tytherleigh Dr. Matthew Tytherleigh is a General Surgeon, based in Abu Dhabi with extensive 20+ years of experience. He has completed his studies at the reputed St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, UK, followed by surgical training at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford under Professor Neil Mortenson. Dr. Matthew received the Covidien Laparoscopic Colorectal Travelling Fellowship from the reputed Concord Hospital in Sydney, Australia. He was also awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, England. His areas of clinical expertise lie in the management of colorectal cancer, laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, inflammatory bowel disease, colitis, proctology (such as hemorrhoids, fissures, and fistulas), fecal incontinence, prolapse, hernia surgery, advanced colonoscopy, etc. The known surgeon has co-authored the Colorectal Surgery chapter in The New Aird’s Companion in Surgical Studies, the recommended UK surgical trainee textbook.
