About Dr. med. Axel Baltzer Dr. med. Axel Baltzer is a well-known Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon with 29+ years of experience. He is a member of the German Orthopaedic Society (DGOOC), European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA), German Orthopaedic Society for Osteology (OGO), and Orthopaedic Traumatology and Sports Medicine Society (GOTS). He is also the President of the International Society for Molecular Orthopaedics (ISMO). He has won various awards with scientific prizes such as the Young Research Prize of the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) in Nizza, etc. He completed his graduation at Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf in 1994 and started his medical practical experience at the Orthopaedic clinic. Dr. Baltzer is specialized in hip joint correction, Deformities posttraumatic and congenital, Hip, Knee, and Shoulder Arthroscopy, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, etc. Simultaneously writing publications in national and international journals, he has also served as an editor for books.
