About Dr. med. Bjorn Giera Dr. med. Bjorn Giera is a prominent Spine Surgeon with over 17+ years of experience. He did his medical schooling at the Ruhr-University Bochum in 2003 and started working as an assistant doctor at Schoen Clinic Neustadt in 2006. He is well-versed with complex spine surgery including manubriosternotomy for upper thoracic anterior instrumentation, jaw splitting craniocervical surgery, total gastrectomy with lumbopelvic reconstruction, skull separation cervical osteotomy, complex revision of failed spine surgery, and shape memory metal rod.  Dr. Giera has successfully organized many conferences on Laser and Spine surgery.
