About Dr. Mehmet Deniz Dr. Mehmet Deniz is a leading and experienced General Surgeon with +17 years of experience in the field of general surgery. He is a professional member of the Turkish Surgical Society, the National Society of Endoscopic Laparoscopic Surgery, the Turkish Bariatric Surgery Association, the  Izmir Breast Diseases Association, the Turkey Metabolic Surgery Foundation and the Turkish Colon and Rectal Surgery Society. Dr. Deniz did his medical graduation in 2003 from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and in 2005, started his specialisation training at İzmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital’s general surgery department.  He is a leading general surgeon who is credited with performing the first surgeon to perform a procedure for Type 2 diabetes in Izmir. His other areas of expertise include, obesity surgery, laparoscopic reflux & gastric hernia/abdominal & inguinal hernia/digestive system/colorectal/adrenal gland/gall bladder & duct/thyroid & parathyroid/breast surgery/hemorrhoids, perianal fistula, pilonidal sinus diseases (with laser) surgeries and microsurgical methods.  During the eight years of his practice, he has performed +5,000 surgeries in the field of obesity and metabolic surgery, laparoscopic reflux, hernia, gallbladder, colon, adrenal, spleen surgery and breast, thyroid surgery, hemorrhoids with laser technique, fistula and pilonidal sinus surgery.
