About Dr. Murali P. Vettath Dr. Murali P. Vettath is a renowned Cardiovascular Surgeon with 26+ years of experience. He is one of the brilliant surgeons who perform coronary artery bypass surgeries on a beating heart instead of using the heart-lung machine. He has more than 7,000+ open-heart surgeries out of which 4,500 were on a beating heart with the lowest mortality rate of 0.5%. He is the first surgeon who performed minimally invasive cardiac surgery (MICS) in Kerala in July 2002 and has been performing MICS for mitral and aortic valve surgeries.
