He is a member of the Association of Spine Surgeons of India (ASSI), Minimally Invasive Spine Society of India (MISSI), British Association of Spine Surgeons (BASS), North American Spine Society (NASS), Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOA), Tamil Nadu Orthopaedic Association (TNOA), Indian Medical Association (IMA), and many more. He has been awarded the prestigious Arthritis Research UK Investigator Award 2013 at British Orthopaedic Association Congress, Mark Honey Research Prize 2012 by the research committee of the East Midlands Sarcoma Service (UK), Foxtrot Grant for qualitative research in 2014 by University Hospitals of Leicester research committee (UK), etc. He mastered in various fields such as comprehensive treatment of cervical (neck), thoracic (upper back) and lumbosacral (lower back) spinal conditions. etc. He also has written an extensive number of publications for both national and international journals.
