About Dr. Mustafa Uygar Kalayci Dr. Mustafa Uygar Kalayci is an Istanbul-based General Surgeon with 29+ years in the field. He is a respected member of the Turkish Surgical Association, Hernia Association, Turkish Colon and Rectum Surgery Association, National Trauma and Emergency Surgery Association, Istanbul Surgery Association, Surgical Oncology Association, and Turkish Hepato-Pancreatic-Biliary Surgery Association. He completed his graduation from the Selçuk University – Faculty of Medicine in 1992 and accomplished his Master’s Degree at the Ankara Oncology Hospital – General Surgery in 1998. Dr. Kalayci has also done his Basic Oncology Course from Ankara Oncology Hospital in 1996 and has a First Aid Instructor Certificate from the Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology, 2005. His area of interest lies in Cancer Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Colon and Rectum Surgery, Anal Area Diseases, Obesity Surgery, Interventional and Therapeutic Endoscopic Procedures, ERCP – Bile Endoscopic Procedures, and Robotic Surgery. He has published several journals in national and international medical journals along with chapters in textbooks.
