Following which he did a Fellowship in Micro Neurosurgery from NIMHANS & Fellowship in Endoscopy-Mainz from Germany. He has been instrumental in establishing Advanced Neuroscience Institute at BGS Global Hospitals. Dr Venkataramana is the founder of Manipal Institute for Neurological Disorders, or MIND, at the Manipal Hospital in Bangalore. He has pioneered the country’s first mobile emergency trauma care service called Sanjeevani. Dr Venkataramana was the first in Asia to introduce Micro dialysis for brain He was the first in Karnataka to start CT Guided stereotactic Surgery, Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery for Parkinson’s disease, Neuroendoscopic Surgery, Dr Venkataramana is a recipient of a number of prestigious awards and citations.
