About Dr. Nagendra Parvataneni Dr. Nagendra Parvataneni is one of the leading and most experienced Surgical Oncologists in South India. He has extensive experience of over 24 years in cancer surgery and performed more than 26,000 surgeries to date. He was honored with the âBest Surgical Oncologistâ award by the Times Group in 2018 and 2019. He completed his master’s in Surgical Oncology and then did 5-year Residency program in Indiaâs premier Regional Cancer Centre- Kidwai Institute of Oncology, Bangalore, Karnataka. He has been supporting the cancer awareness cause and is a crusader against Tobacco for 20 years through several cancer foundations. His areas of expertise are advanced Open, Robotic & Laparoscopic onco-surgeries involving upper gastrointestinal onco-surgery, pancreatic biliary surgery, and thoracic surgery including esophagus cancer, lung cancers, and mediastinal tumors. He has performed the highest number of open and robotic colorectal surgeries in Telangana. He performs over 120 major and minor cancer surgeries every month. He founded âThe Hospice Foundation of Hyderabadâ – a 20-bedded facility with a home care unit that focuses on providing free palliative care to terminally ill cancer patients. He achieved training certification in Robotic Surgery for Cancers of Oesophagus, Stomach, Colon Rectum, Kidney, Lung, etc. in the USA. He pioneered Head & Neck Cancer Surgeries including Microvascular Reconstruction and is an Expert in Performing Scarless Thyroid Surgery. He attained training certification in Oncoplastic & Reconstructive Breast Cancer Surgeon & Minimal Invasive Breast Surgeon in Taiwan.
