About Dr. Neil Arun Nijhawan Dr. Neil Arjun Nijhawan is a well-known Palliative Medicine Specialist possessing for more than 10 years. He holds clinical expertise in Complex symptom control (pain, nausea, breathlessness, fatigue), Complex decision-making, Advanced Care Planning, and End of life care. Dr. Nijhawan is the first licensed Palliative Care physician in Abu Dhabi who is licensed to practice all aspects of Palliative Medicine.  After finishing his medical school at King’s College London, he pursued specialty training in Palliative Medicine in London. He is professionally affiliated with the Royal College of Physicians – UK, General Medical Council – UK, Association of Palliative Medicine – UK, and International Association of Hospice and Palliative Care, IAHPC. He has an essential in establishing a new palliative care service within the government health system in Trinidad, West Indies – his hometown. Since its inception in 2014, the unit provides a comprehensive palliative care service including a 12-bed inpatient unit. Outpatient clinics twice a week and palliative care consult service.
