About Dr. Neill van der Walt Dr. Neill van der Walt is an orthopedic surgeon with over 10 years of experience in this profession. The doctor’s services include sports injuries, cartilage surgery, knee instability, mal-alignment and arthritis. He graduated from the University of Pretoria with a medical degree and the University of KwaZulu-Natal with an orthopaedic degree. He recently returned from an 18-month international fellowship in lower limb reconstructive surgery and arthroplasty and a 6-month fellowship in upper limb reconstructive surgery and arthroplasty in Sydney, Australia. Dr. van der Walt had the honour of treating a large number of professional athletes from a variety of sports, including Rugby league, Rugby Union, Australian Football (AFL), Soccer, and Netball, during his fellowship. He also had the opportunity to learn new and advanced joint replacement surgical procedures, such as robotic surgery. Dr. Neill van der Walt is fluent in English.
