About Dr. Ng Tay Meng Dr. Ng Tay Meng is a well-known Gastroenterologist at Mount Alvernia Hospital, Singapore. With over three decades of vast experience, he holds expertise in treating various gastroenterological disorders. Dr. Meng completed his graduation from the University of Singapore in 1983 and further, pursued postgraduate specialist training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology in Singapore. Afterward, he completed his Master of Medicine and was elected to be a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh. In 1995, Dr. Meng completed his one-year subspecialty training in all aspects of therapeutic Gastrointestinal endoscopy, in particular Endoscopic Laser Therapy of Gastrointestinal malignancy and Endoscopic ultrasound staging of Gastrointestinal cancer at the London National Medical Laser Centre, United Kingdom. He is the former Senior Consultant and Head of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Service at Singapore’s Changi General Hospital. He is also associated with the Gastroenterological Society of Singapore.
