About Dr. Omer Akyurek Dr. Omer Akyurek is a Gastroenterologist with 10+ years of experience. After his graduation from Selcuk University, Meram, School of Medicine, he completed his post-graduation from the reputed Ankara Diskapi Yildirim Beyazit Education and Research Hospital, Istanbul. Dr. Omer along with his team has managed numerous cases of Metabolic syndrome, apart from this his clinical interest lies in the management of Diabetes, Thyroid disorders, Gastroenterol system Diseases, etc. He has worked in some of the leading institutes of Istanbul such as Emirdag State Hospital, Beyhekim State Hospital, Mevlana University School of Medicine, Memorial Hospital, Farabi Hospital, Medicana Konya Hospital, etc. Under his credit, there are both national and international publications in accredited journals, and also actively gets invited as a guest lecturer in scientific meetings, CDE’s to talk about Metabolic syndrome.
