About Dr Ooi Wei Seong Dr Ooi Wei Seong is an oncologist having more than 20 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes treatment of lung, gastrointestinal, genitourinary and head & neck cancers. In 1999, Dr. Ooi received a degree with honours and distinction from Trinity College Dublin in Ireland. In 2003, he earned his MRCP (UK) qualification and joined the Royal College of Physicians (UK). After completing his oncology residency at St. Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin, he worked there for a while before relocating to Canada. He worked as a clinical fellow in medical oncology at Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre in Toronto, Canada, for three years. In honour of his outstanding patient care, he also received the Singapore Health Quality Service Award. Dr. Ooi has spoken to general practitioners and oncologists from other countries on how to treat cancer in the area. Additionally, he has given speeches at regional GP symposiums and led public forums and workshops for cancer patients. He taught younger doctors, nurses, Duke-NUS students, and elective fellows in addition to serving as a Clinical Tutor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Additionally, he has co-investigated numerous cancer trials and has written extensively for medical journals. Dr Ooi Wei Seong is fluent in English.
