About Dr. P. Thiagarajan (Raj) Dr. P. Thiagarajan (Raj) is an orthopedic surgeon having more than 30 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes cartilage surgery, cryotherapy, joint replacement surgery, medical screening and sports injury physiotherapy. His areas of expertise include, among others, joint replacement surgery, trauma surgery, physiotherapy for the treatment of sports injuries, cartilage surgery, medical screening, and cryotherapy. Dr. Raj is also an expert in arthroscopic surgery, sometimes known as keyhole surgery. This procedure uses tiny incisions, a range of telescopic lenses, and specialised micro-instruments to examine and treat joint issues. He graduated from National University of Singapore in 1983 with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery. He earned his fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 1988 after completing his Master of Surgery in Orthopedic Surgery at Liverpool University in the United Kingdom in 1992. He received his fellowship from the International College of Surgeons of Chicago in 1990 before pursuing his fellowship in orthopaedic surgery from the Academy of Medicine of Singapore in 1995. Since 1998, Dr. Raj has been a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons as an international fellow. He is a Team Physician who has ties to sports clubs and teams and is known to most professional sportsmen in Singapore simply as Dr. Raj. Singapore Rugby Union, Singapore Amateur Athletic Association, Singapore Sports Council, and consulting at the 2004 and 2005 Singapore Rugby Sevens are a few of these. In addition to his clinical practise, Dr. Raj has been an honorary member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America since 2004 and a member of the European Society for Sports, Knee Surgery, and Arthroscopy since 1998. Dr. P. Thiagarajan (Raj) is fluent in English, Bahasa Indonesia, and Tamil.
