He completed MBBS from King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College, Mumbai, MS in orthopedics Topiwala National Medical College and BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai and fellowship in hand and microsurgery from Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore. He is a general secretary of the Indian Society for Surgery of the Hand.
