Dr Pixie McKenna is an internationally-renowned and leading general practitioner based in central London. She specialises in menopause, women’s health and health screening as well as dermatologysexual health and mental health, and privately practices at the Pixie & Sera clinic in Marylebone. 

Dr McKenna obtained her primary medical degree MB BCH BAO from University College Cork in 1995. She subsequently underwent further training to obtain post graduate qualifications in paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology and dermatology (DCH, DRCOG, DPD). On completion of her GP training at the prestigious Addenbrookes hospital in Cambridge, she became a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1999.

Over her esteemed career she has worked exclusively in private general practice both with individual clients and large corporate organisations. As well as her impressive clinical achievements, Dr McKenna made a name for herself as one of the on-screen doctors and medical experts on the BAFTA-award winning series ‘Embarrassing Bodies’, which airs in 50 different countries. 

Dr McKenna is also well known for her excellent ability to marry her accomplished clinical skills and her exceptional communication skills both on screen and in her regular GP clinic. She lives up to her reputation as an empathetic, unflappable and straightforward GP.

Dr Pixie regularly features in print and broadcast media, and health promotion campaigns in an ambassadorial role. She is a talking head for many well-known brands and an accomplished author, having written several books on medical topics such as women’s health and weaning.
