About Dr Punit Gupta Dr Punit Gupta is an eminent Nephrologist who had contributed widely in the field of Nephrology especially through research and publication. He specialises in Renal Transplants. He was awarded for his excellent work in kidney disease in the rural population of Chhattisgarh in 2017 developing a concept of Teledialysis, the first of its kind in Asia. In addition, he developed a Portable dialysis Machine (MAKE-D) for kidney patients in the world who require dialysis many times a week. He has developed an abdominal Pressure Measurement Scale, useful for Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis Patients (type of dialysis). Dr Gupta was the Honorary Nephrologists to the Governor of Chhattisgarh State.  He is also an accomplished academician who guided Postgraduate & Technologist students for their thesis and projects; he also served as an examiner for university examinations.  He had presented more than 160 papers research papers and abstracts on Kidney Diseases in Tribal populations at well-known National and International Conferences.  Dr Gupta also has a certificate in Paediatric Nephrology. He did several Fellowships under various Societies abroad. He had received several awards owing to his outstanding contribution and work both nationally and internationally. He speaks English and Hindi fluently.
