About Dr. Rajesh T R Dr. Rajesh T R is a well-known Cardiac Surgeon with 16+ years of experience in the field. He is a Member of the Indian Association Of Cardiovascular And Thoracic Surgeons (IACTS) and other such reputed organizations. He was honored with a special award for excellence in cardiac surgery by the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Rosaiah, in 2010. He did his MBBS from Government Medical College, Bellary, passing out in 1996 and did his post-graduation in General Surgery from Government Medical College, Mysore, bagging the Gold Medal from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, in 2001. He also obtained a DNB degree in General Surgery from the National Board of examination, New Delhi in 2002. He later joined the prestigious and illustrious Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital at Mumbai to train to be a Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgeon. He was chosen to train additionally in Heart Transplantation and Ventricular Assist Devices (Artificial Hearts), at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA, considered as the Mecca of Cardiac Surgery. He has the credit of being the first to implant the latest 3rd generation Artificial Heart in a patient with terminal Heart failure, for the first time in entire Asia. Dr. Rajesh gained an exhaustive experience of nearly 5000 cardiac operations and is adept at handling nearly the entire range of Cardiac surgeries such as Beating heart and on-pump CABG, Valve repairs and replacements, aortic root surgeries, surgery for congenital heart diseases such as ASD, VSD, Tetrology of Fallot, PDA, aortic co-arctation, etc.
