About Dr. Rakesh Khera Dr. Rakesh Khera is a urologist and andrologist with 26+ years of experience. He has performed over 1000 robotic and laparoscopic surgeries for prostate, bladder and kidney cancer. He has the distinctive largest single unit experience in the world of conducting more than 1500 Laparoscopic Donor Nephrectomies. He has won many awards, including: Achievers Award (Delhi Urology Society), 2018 Best Video Prize (Hyderabad and Meerut) ISOT and NZUSICON, 2018 Best video prize( Bhubaneshwar and Vijayawada) ISOT and USICON, 2013 Best poster prize – ISOT, Mumbai, 2006 Best Podium Paper – NZUSICON, Udaipur, 2004 Second in Nagpur University Examination, 1987 He has worked in The Roswell Park Cancer Institute, New York, USA – one of the top urological cancer centers in the world. He started “Belly-button,” virtually scarless surgery (LESS) & Single-incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS) at Medanta. His area of interest includes laparoscopic and endoscopic surgeries for urological cancers, Kidney Transplant, Prostate Surgery and Kidney Stone Surgery He is a member of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), Association of Physicians of India (API), Urology Society Of India, North Zone Urological Society of India, Delhi Urology Society, National Cancer Registrars Association, USA and Indian Society of Organ Transplant.
