About Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jaswal Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jaswal is an Interventional Cardiologist, based in Mohali having extensive 27+ years of experience. His expertise lies in Cardiac Ablation, Cardioversion, Carotid Angioplasty, Coronary Angiogram, Coronary Angioplasty, CT Angiogram, Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillators, Acute Aortic Dissection, Heart Conditions, ASD / VSD Device Closure, 2D – Echocardiography, Carotid Artery Disease, etc. Dr. Kumar completed his MBBS and MD degree courses from the Government Medical College, Amritsar. Later, he did DM in Cardiology from PGIMER, Chandigarh. He has operated more than 40,000+ invasive cardiology procedures and more than 16,000+ cardiac interventions successfully. He has the largest experience in entire north India of > 36000 trans-radial invasive procedures and > 14000 trans-radial interventions including complex trans-radial coronary interventions and is a member of the Indian Society of Cardiologists, Punjab Medical Council, Indian Medical Association, etc. Received numerous awards such as the most prominent Cardiologist of upper North India by Union Cabinet minister Dr. Harshvardhan, The Ingenious Achiever’s of  North India award by the then Deputy CM Punjab, Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal, and the Business Wizard North Award. Under his credit, there are more than 70+ national and international publications and he is actively invited as a guest speaker in scientific meetings, CME’s and worldwide conferences to talk about Heart conditions.
