About Dr. Ramesh Makam Dr. Ramesh Makam is a well-known General Surgeon, who has been practicing for the last 30 years. He has a keen interest in procedures such as bariatric surgery, metabolic surgery, liposuction, abdominoplasty, gastric bypass surgery, hernia repair and many others. He was a part of the pioneering team in India for doing Bariatrics surgery, which was the first to perform the laparoscopic Roux-en-yen Gastric Byapass surgery in India. He also established the world renowned Bangalore Endoscopic Surgery Training Institute & Research Institute which has trained more than 600 practising from 5 continents. Dr. Ramesh completed his MBBS from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute Bangalore in 1985, and DNB in General Surgery in 1990. He has previously worked with AV Hospital, BGS Global Hospital, and Vikram Hospital.  He has been registered with Karnataka Medical College since 1985.
