About Dr. Roland Chong Weng Wah Dr. Roland Chong Weng Wah is an orthopedic surgeon having more than 20 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes arthroplasty solutions for elbow and shoulder pain and trauma, rheumatic arthritis and other degenerative conditions such as bipolar radial head replacements, total elbow and shoulder replacements and reverse replacements. In 2001, Dr. Roland Chong graduated from the National University of Singapore with a medical degree and was given the Yeo Khuan Joo Gold Medal in Surgery. The National University of Singapore later awarded him a Master of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery. He received the Singapore College of Surgeons Gold Medal in 2010 and went on to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Chong provides treatments for arthroscopic shoulder surgery, irreparable rotator cuff tears, elbow and shoulder trauma, rheumatoid arthritis, and other degenerative conditions such as bipolar radial head replacements, total elbow, and reverse shoulder replacements. Prior to opening his private practise, Dr. Chong was a Consultant Orthopaedic, Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon at Changi General Hospital. He also treats fractures, tennis elbow, bicep tendon injuries, labrum injuries, pectoralis major injuries, superior labrum anterior posterior tears (SLAP), acromioclavicular joint arthritis, acromioclavicular joint dislocation, and arthritis. Dr. Roland Chong was actively involved in medical training both domestically and abroad in addition to his scientific activity.  Dr. Chong has also contributed to many papers and has a keen interest in research. Additionally, he has delivered talks and presentations on orthopaedic surgery at conferences. The N Balachandran Memorial Lecture Award was given to Dr. Chong in 2009 during the 31st Singapore Orthopaedics Association Meeting. He received the Reviewer Recognition Award in 2011. Dr. Roland Chong Weng Wah is fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Hokkien.
