About Dr. S.T. Gopal Dr. S.T. Gopal is a Consultant Gastroenterologist practicing for more than 15 years. He holds expertise in managing complex gastrointestinal problems, critical liver care, and emergency therapy of gastrointestinal bleeding. He is known to have performed thousands of complex endoscopic procedures to date. After completing MRCP, he pursued a specialization in Gastroenterology from The Royal College of Physicians, UK (CCST-Certificate of completion of specialist training). He has worked with prestigious medical institutes across the globe including Kingâs College Hospital, London, Addenbrookeâs Hospital, Cambridge, and St. Jamesâs Hospital, Leeds. He has published abstracts and original articles in GUT and Anaesthesia. He has a key role in leading the Hepatology department in the first-ever successful living donor liver transplant at Apollo. He is one of the few doctors known to perform minimal sedation for therapeutic endoscopic procedures and does ERCP without general anesthesia.
