About Dr. Seow Kang Hong Dr. Seow Kang Hong is an orthopedic surgeon having more than 30 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes hip and knee joint replacements and reconstruction surgery. In 1974, Dr. Seow earned his MBBS degree from the National University of Singapore’s Faculty of Medicine. After completing his speciality training and basic training, he was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal College of Surgeons in Orthopaedic Surgery (FRCS Edinburgh and Glasgow). He was afterwards admitted as a Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Medicine (Orthopaedic Surgery) in 1984. In 1987, Dr. Seow began his career as an orthopaedic surgeon, and in 1989, he became a consultant at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH). Dr. Seow was essential in taking the SGH Department of Orthopedic Surgery to new heights after being selected as the department’s Deputy Head in 1998 and concurrently as the Director of the service’s Adult Reconstruction Service until 2002. A committed speaker and trainer with multiple local and international organisations, Dr. Seow also has experience treating orthopaedic disorders and performs up to 150 knee and hip-related operations annually. He served as an editor-in-chief of the Orthopaedic Journal of China and a reviewer for the National Medical Research Council of Singapore. Dr. Seow Kang Hong is fluent in English, Mandarin, Hokkien, Bahasa Indonesia, and Cantonese.
