About Dr. Shailaja Pokhriyal Dr. Sailaja Pokhriyal is a psychologist, practicing successfully for nearly 10 years. She is a Child, Adolescent and Family Therapist She has Conducted training at Special schools like ”Deepshikha” for children with Autism, Mental Retardation, Cerebral Palsy and also worked with Special needs Children and conducted Family Therapy at Central Institute of Psychiatry She was awarded with Gold Medal for securing 1st position in MA examination from Dayalbagh University She was awarded for successfully completing a project for Escorts Heart Institute which was conducted for 2500 employees to find out their job suitability using a battery of Psychological tests. She has Conducted lectures and seminars to support medical staff , schools and made home visits on subjects like Child and Adolescent wellbeing, Family Therapy, Individual Psychotherapy, Counseling and Behavior Modification She is a member of Indian Psychiatric Society, Indian association of Psychological Association and Indian Association for Clinical Psychologists She has presented papers in a number of conference held in USA and India on Health Psychology She has also published a few articles in newspaper like Brunch HT, Femina, Hindustan Times, Times of India and Sarita and presented Talk Show on Television She did BA Psychology, from Delhi University (2004); MA Psychology from Dayalbagh University (2006).Later she pursued M.Phil, on Clinical Psychology from Central Institute of Psychiatry (2009);and completed PhD from, Delhi University (2014)
