About Dr. Shailesh A V Rao Dr. Shailesh A V Rao is a neurosurgeon with 30+ years of experience. He has performed more than 6000 successful surgeries. His expertise includes Cranial and Spinal Trauma, Neuro Endoscopic surgeries, Cranial and Spinal Cord Tumors, Congenital Anomalies of Brain and Spinal Cord, Vascular Diseases of Brain and Spinal Cord, Stereotactic Neurosurgeries and functional neurosurgeries. He has participated and attended national and international conferences, seminars, CMEs and workshops. Dr. Rao has delivered numerous guest lectures on neurosurgery. After completing his MBBS, he pursued MCh followed by DNB. He completed his training in the management of optic nerve injuries including Trans Ethmoidal Decompression at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 1997. He played a major role in the establishment of the Cadaver Neurosurgical Laboratory at NIMHANS, Bangalore.
