About Dr. Sharifah Roohi Dr. Sharifah Roohi is a senior and a skilled Hand Surgeon with nearly 50 years of experience. She is the President Elect of the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association, a member of the Asia-Pacific Orthopedic Association, the International member of American Society for Surgery of the Hand and an international member of American Orthopedic Association. Dr. Roohi did her MD in 1990 from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia, followed by a fellowship in 1998 from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. In 2000, he did MS from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and then a fellowship in 2003. In 2008, she was awarded a diploma from the Federation of European Societies for the Surgery of the Hand. She is a specialist of arthroplasty, arthroscopy and microsurgery. She also treats Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Trigger Finger, De Quervain’s, Repetitive strain injury, rheumatoid arthritis, torn cartilage and torn ligaments. Dr. Roohi has won several awards, actively researches, is a reviewer and an editorial board member of national and international journals with +50 credits published.
