About Dr Shaun Ho Zhirui Dr Shaun Ho Zhirui is an oncologist having more than 10 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes use of radiotherapy to treat a variety of cancer patients for both cure and palliation. He is also proficient in the use of advanced radiotherapy techniques such as stereotactic radiosurgery, stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy and volumetric modulated arc therapy to improve patient outcomes and minimise side effects of treatment. He earned his medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2008, and at the National Cancer Centre of Singapore, he then attended radiation oncology specialised training (NCCS). He also earned a Graduate Diploma in Palliative Medicine and joined the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh during this time. He was given a scholarship to pursue clinical oncology training abroad at University College London Hospital in the UK after being elected as a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (Clinical Oncology) (UK) in 2016. He obtained advanced training in general oncology, gastroenterology, haematology, neuro-oncology, and sarcomas while he was in London. Dr. Ho worked as a clinical assistant professor at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and a consultant at NCCS before to joining Raffles Hospital. He actively participated in teaching medical students, young doctors, and radiation therapy students as a passionate instructor. In order to increase cancer awareness and education among the general public, as well as among patients and their families, he also served on the NCCS Cancer Education and Information Services committee. He participates in the executive committees of the Singapore Radiological Society and the Chapter of Radiation Oncologists in the College of Radiologists Singapore to develop the field in Singapore. Dr Shaun Ho Zhirui is fluent in English.
