About Dr. Soh I Peng Thomas Dr. Soh I Peng Thomas is an Oncologist Specialist with clinical expertise in gastrointestinal cancer (oesophageal, gastric, colon, and rectal cancer) and hepatobiliary cancer (liver, pancreas, bile duct, and gall bladder cancer). Prior to Mount Alvernia Hospital, he served as a consultant at the Department of Haematology-Oncology at National University Hospital (NUH) and a visiting consultant at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. He was actively involved in educating young medical doctors and was a part of the core faculty for both the Internal Medicine Residency program and the Oncology Senior Residency program at NUH from 2012 to 2016. He has been honored with numerous awards such as Teaching Excellence Award in 2014, the best Tutor Award in 2015 for undergraduate teaching by the University Medical Cluster at NUH, and many more. He was an honorary secretary of the executive committee of the Singapore Society of Oncology from 2013 to 2015. He has over 10 publications in medical and oncology journals. He is proficient in various dialects including English, Hokkien, Malay, and Mandarin.
