About Dr. Surender K Yachha Dr. Surender K Yachha is a paediatric gastroenterologist with 31+ years of experience. He is a recipient of 94 prestigious awards for his contribution in healthcare domain. He has expertise in the field of gastrointestinal disorders, liver disorders, pancreatic disorders in and endoscopic procedures (diagnostic and therapeutic) in infants and children. He was the first to introduce the pediatric gastroenterology department in India with multidimensional growth. He held high positions such as the Founder President of Indian Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ISPGHAN), chairperson (National President) of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics. He has taken India to the world map through his international research publications and 30 book chapters. He set up the first post-doctoral certificate course aimed at pediatric gastroenterology for pediatricians (post-MD) in 2000.
