He is a graduate of Armed Forces Medical College, Pune (AFMC) and holds MD and DM degrees from AFMC and AIIMS, Delhi. Dr. Verma has served in the armed forces as an army doctor. He is an expert hematologist, with speciality in performing bone marrow & stem cell transplant, acute/chronic leukemia, anaemia including thalessemia, lymphoma and myeloma and bleeding disorders.
