About Dr. Thimappa Hegde Dr. Thimappa Hegde is a neurosurgeon with 31+ years of experience. His areas of expertise include Stereotactic & Functional Neurosurgery, Skull Base Surgery and Stereotactic Surgery. He is a life member of the Neurological Society of India, Indian Academy of Neurology, Stereotactic Society of India and former president of Neuro-Spinal Society of India. Dr. Thimappa has been recognized as an ‘Outstanding Citizen’ by the Lions Club, Bangalore and visited USA & Canada on a special exchange program from the Rotary International. He was invited to speak at an International Meeting in the Vatican City and had a special audience with the POPE His Holiness John Paul II. He completed MBBS from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Bangalore and MCh in neurosurgery from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore.
