Dr Timothy Ham is a highly respected consultant neurologist based in Cambridge. He is renowned for his expertise in epilepsy, migraine, dizziness, numbness and weakness. He also specialises in general neurology, including movement disorders and tremor.
Dr Ham qualified in medicine in 2005 from University College London and then undertook further training at the Royal Free and St George’s Hospitals. In 2013, he was awarded a PhD in cognitive neuroscience from Imperial College London and undertook a post-doctoral clinical research fellowship in neurology at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Ham concluded his specialist training at various esteemed centres, including the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and Charing Cross Hospital. He has been appointed as a consultant neurologist since 2018 and currently sees private patients at Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital.
Dr Ham is a well-established researcher in the field of neurology and has authored numerous academic papers which appear in peer-reviewed journals. He continues to be actively involved in research and is lead and co-investigator on various key studies relating to headaches and epilepsy following traumatic brain injury. Additionally, he has co-authored a neuro-oncology textbook. He regularly teaches medical students from the University of Cambridge and organises the epilepsy study module and clinicopathological conference for undergraduates.
