About Dr. Timothy Shim Dr. Timothy Shim is a plastic surgeon having more than 18 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes aesthetic surgery, advanced reconstruction techniques – breast, head and neck, skin cancers, and lower limb reconstruction.  In 2002, Dr. Shim received his degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS). In 2005 and 2007, respectively, he received from NUS his Membership of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh and his Master in Medicine in Surgery. A Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (Plastic Surgery) was awarded to him in 2013 after he had finished his advanced study in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery in 2011. In 2011, Dr. Shim finished his supermicrosurgery specialised training at The University of Tokyo Hospital. Dr. Shim was a Senior Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Tan Tock Seng Hospital before entering private practise (TTSH). Prior to this, he oversaw the Plastic Surgery Training Program at National Healthcare Group as the programme director. Additionally, he served as a clinical instructor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at Nanyang Technological University and the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore.  Dr. Shim also serves as a Site Accreditor for the Joint Committee for Specialist Training in addition to her clinical practise. Dr. Shim frequently devotes his time to volunteer work in the community and goes on frequent mission trips because he believes in giving back to the community. Dr. Timothy Shim is fluent in English, and Mandarin.
