About Dr. Toufik Tabbara Dr. Toufik Tabbara is a highly respected and experienced General Surgeon with +44 years of experience in the field of performing various surgeries. He is a professional member of the, The Michael E. DeBakey International Surgical Society, American College of Surgeons, Aleppo Medical Society, International College of Surgeons, the European Association for Endoscopic Surgeons,The Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons and the Gulf Diabetic Wound working Group. Dr. Tabbara completed his MD from the University of Aleppo Medical College·in 1977 Syria, in 1984 he completed a residency programme from the Mount Carmel College, Ohio. He then pursued a fellowship from the Baylor College of Medicine which he completed in 1985. He also completed a fellowship in cardiovascular surgery at Methodist Hospital in Houston, USA.  He also has a Certificate Leadership in Healthcare from Oakwood Hospital Michigan in 1997 (UAE), American Board of Surgery, Mt. Carmel Medical Center Columbus, USA in 1985, a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery IRCAD, Strasbourg, France in 2008. He qualified for a certificate in Innovations in Leadership Canadian Medical Association, Ottawa, Canada in 2010 and Certificate Innovations in Leadership from Canadian Medical Association·2010 (UAE). He is an experienced general surgeon, with experience in performing inguinal and abdominal hernias, small and large intestine surgeries, pancreatic and spleen surgeries, advanced laparoscopic surgery, appendectomy, gallbladder, oesophageal, colon, gastric, and adrenal, breast cancer patient management, including sentinel lymph node biopsy and oncoplastic cancer surgery.
