About Dr. Uday Thanawala Dr. Uday Thanawala is a Gynaecologist and Obstetrician with 37+ years of experience in the field. He has been the Vice-Chairman of Indian College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ICOG) 2018, Vice President of Federation Of Obstetrics & Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI) 2015, Treasurer of PCOS Society Of India, Chairperson of Medical Disorders in Pregnancy Committee of FOGSI (2006- 2008), and Joint Secretary FOGSI (2005). He is also the Founder Secretary and Past President of the Navi Mumbai OBGY Society. After his basic education, he pursued MD from Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai, DGO from CPS, Mumbai, DNB from National Board New Delhi, and also FCPS where he received a Gold Medal. Dr. Thanawala has participated in many workshops all over the country propagating newer protocols in labor-management and Caesarean Section techniques. He is also an editor and has contributed to many books and articles in national and international journals. His areas of expertise include IVF (In-Vitro-Fertilisation), Antenatal Care, Ultrasonography, High-Risk Pregnancy, Maternity Care, Operative Laparoscopic Surgery, Myomectomy, Hysterectomy, Ovarian Tumours, Endometriosis, etc.
