About Dr. V K Shah Dr. V K Shah is a well-known Interventional Cardiologist with 30+ years of experience. He has performed individually and assisted more than 4,000 angioplasties over the years, and has been doing more than 400 PTCA per year individually. He is a Member of the Association of American College of Cardiology, Association of Physicians of India, Association of Cardiological Society of India, and has participated in various CMEs in India and abroad. He has trained extensively in stenting and has used all variety of stents during his training in France at the University of Rouen. He is experienced in electrophysiological studies and has several research papers published in this area. Dr. Shah has individually performed more than 10,000 cardiac catheterization and coronary angiographies, and trained in the USA for Colour Doppler and Carotid Doppler. He has received several allocates such as Golden Citizen of India Award, Professor Rathinavelu Subramaniyam Endowment Oration 2015, Award of Excellence for “Outstanding Contribution in the field of Cardiology in the World”, Prof. DP Basu Award in Cardiology 1987, B Sivanthiadithyan Gold Medal in Cardiology 1987, Distinction in SSC Examination. 1972, etc. He has more than 50 publications in both national and international journals and more than 30 research papers.
