About Dr. Venugopal Balchand Dr. Venugopal Balchand is a well-known Cardiac Surgeon with +25 years of experience in the field of cardiac procedures. He is a professional member of the  National Heart Association of Malaysia.  Dr. Balchand completed his MBBS from Madras Medical College and then did his M.Med from Singapore. He also did a fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh). He is an expert cardiac surgeon, well-known to perform CABG, aortic and mitral valve surgery, lung surgery,  REDO heart surgery, major cardiac procedures in adults and VATS.  Dr. Balchand was among the team of surgeons to perform the second heart operation on the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Mahathir in 2007. He has performed around +5,000 open heart procedures. He has delivered lectures at many local and international meetings.
